A nightly party

Posted on Thu Jun 29th, 2017 @ 9:26am by Lieutenant Marduk "Duke" & Trinity Costa & Lady Surla

Mission: STATION BLUES
Location: Club Bliss
Timeline: current

OOC: A post in-between the visits from the CO and the marines.

ON:

Trinity was sitting behind the bar, doing her books as usual. There was a steady crowd, but not quite crowded within Bliss. Out of the corner of her eye Trin caught people coming and going through the main entrance, letting Zyna deal with it.

"Hey, Toots, how goes it!?"

That voice brought Trinity's head up, her eyes going to the entrance and seeing Liam, the Pres for the Saints of Bliss MC (Merchants Club). Where Liam was, the band was. Trinity hopped over the bar and ran in, hugging Liam and kissing him on the lips with a quick peck before being set back upon her feet. "What the hell? You guys weren't supposed to be back for three weeks."

"I know, I know." Liam was chuckling. "But, Iceman and the rest of the band wanted to come home for a minute. Since this is home for now, here we are." He winked. "And, they are rested, sister. Time for Bliss to rock three levels."

Trinity gave an evil grin. "I am feeling a bit extroverted. A good rock show would do the trick." She looked to the bar. "Zyna, drinks for these merchants is on the house. Grab my cut, hon, and wear yours tonight."

With that said Trinity bee-lined for the band room, finding the Saints of Bliss inside. She screeched in excitement, hugging them all, with Ice's hug lasting a bit longer since he'd been with her for many years now. "You gonna set up?"

Ice grinned. "Yes, toots. Give me the list."

Trinity handed him the list of songs she had in mind, some of which he would sing while she took lead guitar. Most were to be sung by her.

"We got this," said Ice. "We'll set up while you entertain the masses. They'll see us and get excited, so that means more bras thrown my way." He laughed.

"And panties," added Cookie, the drummer.

Trinity waved them both off, telling them to signal when they were ready. Stepping back out to the club proper, she noted that the crowd had grown twice as large within minutes. Someone knew Saints were here, and had spilled the beans. Going out Trinity took Zyna by the hand, tossing the cuts aside and removing her pistols and holsters, taking the young Bajoran up onto the bartop. The crowd saw this and began to cheer. "Ready?" Trinity asked Zyna, who said yes. "Hit it, Hans." With blutooth in her ear the two women began to groove and twerk to the beat, right there on the bartop for all to see, both in sexy shorts and Underarmor sports bras. Trinity spat the lyrics, but both women never missed a beat in their dancing and showmanship, both grooving to the tune.

"Lean On"

{OA: Major Lazer with DJ Snake, feat. M0)

Do you recall, not long ago
We would walk on the sidewalk
Innocent, remember?
All we did was care for each other

But the night was warm
We were bold and young
All around the wind blows
We would only hold on to let go

[Chorus 2x:]
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
We all need someone to lean on
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is somebody to lean on

(Eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh) [4x]

What will we do when we get old?
Will we walk down the same road?
Will you be there by my side?
Standing strong as the waves roll over

When the nights are long
Longing for you to come home
All around the wind blows
We would only hold on to let go

[Chorus 2x:]
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
We all need someone to lean on
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is somebody to lean on

(Eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh) [2x]
All we need is somebody to lean on
(Eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh, eeh ooh) [2x]
All we need is somebody to lean on
Lean on, lean on, lean on, lean on...

[Chorus 2x:]
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
We need someone to lean on
Blow a kiss, fire a gun
All we need is somebody to lean on

The patrons cheered loudly, with Trinity and Zyna hugging and laughing.

"We set the precedent, boss. Go get 'em!" Zyna slapped Trin's ass and hopped down to serve drinks. While they had been entertaining the roadies had set up the Saints set, and Trinity sauntered across the bar, down the steps to the stage, and went right up front, speaking into the mic.

"Well, look who decided to drop in." Trin gave a giggle as the Saints of Bliss walked out, cheered on by the crowd, which was growing. Trinity could see more marines coming in, so the Sarge had spread the word. Good, she thought. "Ready for some rock?" The crowd cheered YES. "That's good enough for me. Ice, let's do this." Trin took the mic from the stand, moving the obstruct to the side. Gearing her vocals for a combo of Lizzie Hale, Pretty Reckless, Maria Brink and PINK, Trinity was set. There would be times when some Butcher Babies' style lyrics might be needed, but only if they hit those tunes. The first tune started.

"Cut The Cord"

{OA: Shinedown}

(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom, follow me)
(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom) Cut it!
(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom, follow me)
(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom)

Let me tell you, I'm vicious
Not pass-aggressive
I got my finger on my pulse, staring straight into a hole and I get it
And I'm a savage
It's automatic
I got a way of making noise, the power to destroy with no static

Cause victory is all you need
So cultivate and plant the seed
Hold your breath and count to ten, just count to ten

I'm gonna make it rain, so ring the bell
I know it all too well
Switchblade on the edge of your wrist
Can I get a witness? (Witness)
Cause agony brings no reward
For one more hit and one last score
Don't be a casualty, cut the cord

(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom, follow me) Cut the cord
(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom)

You gotta feel courage
Embrace possession
If it was easier to shatter everything that ever mattered
But it's not, because it's your obsession
Be a fighter, backbone, desire
Complicated and it stings, but we both know what it means
And it's time to get real and inspired

Cause victory is all you need
So cultivate and plant the seed
Hold your breath and count to ten, just count to ten, just count to ten

I'm gonna make it rain, so ring the bell
I know it all too well
Switchblade on the edge of your wrist
Can I get a witness? (Witness) [Trin points to backup singers]
Cause agony brings no reward
For one more hit and one last score
Don't be a casualty, cut the cord

Cut it
Cut it

Cause victory is all you need
So cultivate and plant the seed
Hold your breath and count to ten, just count to ten

I'm gonna make it rain, so ring the bell
I know it all too well
Switchblade on the edge of your wrist
Can I get a witness? (Witness) [points to backup singers]
Cause agony brings no reward
For one more hit and one last score
Don't be a casualty, cut the cord
Don't be a casualty, cut the cord

(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom, follow me) Cut the cord
(Freedom, la la la la)
(Freedom, follow me, me, me)

Having been going back and forth along the stage, playing to the crowd, Trinity gave a sweeping bow to the cheering. This was why she fought so hard to remain in the shadows, all these beings here tonight, simply looking for a good time and a safe place to let loose. Ice had noted the next song, and since the lyrics were meant for a deep male voice they made it a duet, him playing and singing while Trin stayed the front person along stage edge.

"I Apologize"

{OA: Five Finger Death Punch}

One day the shadows will surround me
Someday the days will come to end
Sometime I’ll have to face the real me
Somehow I’ll have to learn to bend
And now I see clearly

All these times I simply stepped aside
I watched but never really listened
As the whole world passed me by
All this time I watched from the outside
Never understood what was wrong or what was right
I apologize…

One day I’ll face the Hell inside me
Someday I’ll accept what I have done
Sometime I’ll leave the past behind me
For now I accept who I’ve become
And now I see clearly

All these times I simply stepped aside
I watched but never really listened
As the whole world passed me by
All this time I watched from the outside
Never understood what was wrong or what was right
I apologize…

One day the shadows will surround me

All these times I simply stepped aside
I watched but never really listened
As the whole world passed me by
All this time I watched from the outside
Never understood what was wrong or what was right
I apologize…

Not their best performance, but lyrics spoke volumes to those willing to listen. Now, it was her time and the songs would reflect that. For love, hate, sorrow, whatever. It was time to rock her home, her club, and those who stood by her--right or wrong.

"Sound Of Madness"

{OA: Shinedown}

Yeah, I get it,
You're an outcast.
Always under attack.
Always coming in last,
Bringing up the past.
No one owes you anything.
I think you need a shotgun blast,
A kick in the ass,
So paranoid. . .
Watch your back!!

Oh my, here we go...

Another loose cannon gone bi-polar
Slipped down, couldn't get much lower.
Quicksand's got no sense of humor.
I'm still laughing like hell.
You think that by crying to me
Looking so sorry that I'm gonna believe,
You've been infected by a social disease.
Well, then take your medicine.

[Chorus:]
I created the Sound of Madness.
Wrote the book on pain.
Somehow I'm still here,
To explain,
That the darkest hour never comes in the night.
You can sleep with a gun.
When you gonna wake up and fight... for yourself?

I'm so sick of this tombstone mentality,
If there's an afterlife,
Then it'll set you free.
But I'm not gonna part the seas
You're a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You think that crying to me,
Looking so sorry that I'm gonna believe,
You've been infected by a social disease.
Well, then take your medicine.

[Chorus]

I created the Sound of Madness.
Wrote the book on pain.
Somehow I'm still here,
To explain,
That the darkest hour never comes in the night.
You can sleep with a gun.
When you gonna wake up...
When you gonna wake up and fight...

[Chorus]

When you gonna wake up and fight... for yourself? [x3]

With Trinity doing straight up vocals the crowd seemed to cheer louder and prouder. Not that she would ever take away from the Saints, but even Ice had told Trin she was the life's blood for the band, the catalyst. Without her flare, her performance, they were nothing. And, not even being Human, she kept Human music alive, from many genres she found both appealing and entertaining for her own reasons. It made her feel good to give back to these people, even if she just sang and sweated for their enjoyment. And sweat she did, a sheen of perspiration now covering her skin.

"Song #3"

{OA: Stone Sour}

If you take a step towards me
You will take my breath away
So I'll keep you close and keep my secret safe

No one else has ever loved me
No one else has ever tried
I never understood how much I could take

Then I saw the worst was over
When I laid my eyes on you
It was all that I could do to know my place

Out of all the vast illusions
Out of all the dreams come true
I was gone until I finally saw your face

If you cried out for more
If you reached out for me
I would run into the storm
Just to keep you here with me
I have gone beyond my years
I've wasted half my life
But I found it all in you
Did I save you?
'Cause I know you saved me too

Let me take a step towards you
Let me feel you in my hands
Let me cross this line and show you where it leads

There's a darkness down inside me
That I know we'll both enjoy
And it's screaming from within to set it free

I have left this bloody nightmare
In my wake but out of sight
All I want is deviation by design

Out of all the past confusion
Out of all the common spite
Just tell me I am yours 'cause you are mine [points to crowd]

And if you cried out for more
If you reached out for me
I would run into the storm
Just to keep you here with me
I have gone beyond my years
I've wasted half my life
But I found it all in you
Did I save you?
'Cause I know you saved me too

It doesn't really matter what you do or say
I'm never going anywhere anyway
'Cause when I'm dying for you
I've never felt so alive

If you cried out for more
If you reached out for me
I would run into the storm
Just to keep you here with me
I have gone beyond my years
I've wasted half my life
But I found it all in you
Did I save you?
'Cause I know you saved me too

I know you saved me too

With all her gesturing to say this song was about the crowd, the cheers and whoops were far greater than before. Trinity had meant it, from the heart. What lifted her spirits was seeing her Cabal sister, Lady Surla, walking through her doorway, her entourage in tow. Not only that, but Marduk was with them, and his vocals could hlep with a few tunes. "I see my sister, Surla. Qapla', sister, bloodwine coming up shortly."

The crowd applauded the introduction adn Trin's obvious happiness upon seeing the Klingon. Marduk helped to tote the kegs out for the Klingons, a whole section roped off for their enjoyment. The keg toss would start shortly and bystanders tended to get injured. "Alright, with Klingons and Marines in house, it's time for a certain song. Saints...This means war!" The song began.

Trinity, while singing, swaggered around the stage playing to the crowd, and getting them involved in the chorus.

***

"This Means War"

{OA: Avenged Sevenfold/A7X}

Hide my face again, harbor in the shadows
Feel this weight of sin hammering away
Die - with the guilt of a thousand AWOL soldiers
Die - watch the scythe usher me astray

I can't go on this way
Not as I am today
The ugly side of me is strong

Take aim, a loaded gun.
Pull back on all who run.
A coward's truth inside the wrong.

"Give it to me!" [to the crowd to get them to sing along]

This means war
This means war
This means war

Lash your tongue of bane
Carry me to nowhere
Mental holocaust
Battle never ends
Lie! Mask the pain
Of a child who's forsaken
Lie! To myself
Praise the new regime

I left me long ago
Reasons you'll never know
No one to miss me when I'm gone
With no more words to say
No argument to stay.
Another post I don't belong

"give it to me!"

This means war
This means war
This means war
This means war
This means war

No home to call my own
No finding someone new
No one to break the fall
No one to see me through
No name to carry on
No promise for today
No one to hear the call
No tattered flag to raise

Walk the razor's edge
Cut into the madness
Question all you trust
Buy into the fear
I see the man ripping at my soul now
I, I know the man
I know him all too well

There's nothing here for free
Lost who I want to be
My serpent blood can strike so cold
On any given day
I'll take it all away
Another thought I can't control

"One last time!"

This means war
This means war
This means war
This means war
This means war

When the final note sounded the crowd went crazy, the club now standing room only. Marduk came to stage edge, Trinity pulling him up to meet her as she hugged him, then Surla mounted the stage all on her own, the hug she received no less full of love. Her eyes misted a bit, so she turned to the crowd to help quell it. "This next song goes out to Marduk, Surla, Isha, and of course, that Bajoran tart back there--Zyna. I love you all, and we are family. Ice, we need some diamond eyes." The band adjusted and the next song began, with Trinity in full 'F-you' mode.

"Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)"

{OA: Shinedown}

[INTRO-Speaking]
I am the shadow, and the smoke in your eyes,
I am the ghost, that hides in the night

Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM! [x4]

[VERSE]
Wait, wait a minute take a step back
you gotta think twice before you react
so stay, stay a little while
Because a Promise not kept is the road to exile
HEY! whats the circumstance
you'll never be great without taking a chance so
wait, you waited too long
had your hands in your pocket
when you shoulda been gone

[CHORUS]
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
One push is all you'll need
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
A fist first philosophy
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
We watch with wounded eyes
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
So I hope you recognize

I'm on the front line
Don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to the regret
and now I see the world through diamond eyes

[VERSE]
DAMN! damn it all down
took one to the chest without even a sound so
What! What are you worth?
the things you love or the people you hurt
HEY! it's like deja vu
a suicidal maniac with nothing to lose
so wait, it's the exception to the rule
everyone of us is EXPENDABLE

[CHORUS]
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
One push is all you'll need
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
A fist first philosophy
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
We watch with wounded eyes
Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
So I hope you recognize

I'm on the front line
don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to the regret
and now I know that I'm alive
I'm on the front line
don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to the regret
and now I see the world through diamond eyes

[BRIDGE]
Every night of my life
I watch angels fall from the sky
Every time that the sun still sets
I pray they don't take mine

I'm on the front line
don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to regret

I'm on the front line
don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to the regrets
and now I know that I'm alive

I'm on the front line
don't worry I'll be fine
the story is just beginning
I say goodbye to my weakness
so long to the regret
and now I see the world through diamond eyes
[REPEAT x2]

Boom-Lay Boom-Lay BOOM!
[REPEAT x8]

Once the song was done the band took a little break, and Trinity went over to speak with Surla and Marduk. "How y'all been?"

Surla gave a grin. "I am content. Gorgon is no more."

Trinity gave her sister a hard clap on the shoulder. "Qapla', to you and your House."

Marduk gave a chuckle, arms crossed over his chest. "My life isn't as exciting, but I am content where I am. No one died to secure my standing. Well, not yet, anyway. I am a doctor, after all." Another laugh.

Both females laughed along with him, Trinity turning his way. "Drop that commission and I'll make you a wealthy man. Good medical care is a rare thing among my ilk."

Marduk gave her a grin. "Not that I haven't considered it already, but where I am fits who I am...currently."

Surla shook her head at these two, always some form of sexual innuendo between them. She sighed. "Get it over with, rut like targs, and see where it leads. You two bore me to tears." She gave a pseudo yawn and went and joined her Klingon crewmates.

Marduk watched her walk away, then looked at Trin. "She has a point. Why do we keep dancing around the subject?"

Trinity used her eyes to look toward the bar, then back at Marduk. "She is the reason. Zyna is all about where I am, dedicated and loyal. Plus, she has struck a chord with me. I have to see where it leads before considering others. Plus, 400 years in this galaxy has taught me to be extremely wary when considering matters of the heart."

"Fair enough, Trin." Marduk was looking at her, desiring her, but not really sure if she was the one. There were others he considered just as important.

"Hey, I have a song for Zyna, since she sang one for me the other night. You cool?"

Marduk shrugged. "Would it matter if I wasn't?"

Trinity giggled. "No, actually. Thanks for understanding." She walked away quickly, not sure what Marduk was trying to do to her. Conferring with the band she came up with a tune she could sing and dedicate to Zyna, for being loyal and for being who she was. But, it required a bass beat and some dubstep, so going back to Marduk she asked for his help, not only for the DJ setup, but for vocals on certain lyrics she needed him for. Marduk agreed, to both the music and singing along for Zyna, despite his misgivings. But, singing he put his heart into, no matter the circumstances.

Trinity looked to the bar. "Zyna, this one is yours, doll."

"Mind"

{OA: Jack U, feat. Kai}

You love how you push me to the point of crazy
And I love when you're on your knees and begging for me
You got me good with all these mind games
There you go, you got my heart again

[Pre-Chorus:]
Say my name, I wanna hear you call
Hold me close, I wanna feel your heart
I'm in a cold sweat and I want you bad
Now you got me all in my head, like damn

[Chorus x4:] [Marduk vocals on chorus]
I'ma show you how, show you how, show you how
To love again

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus x8]

Zyna put HANS in charge of the bar, scrambled onto the bartop, and made her way around the club to the stage via the multiple routes, ending up in Tinity's arms. The crowd cheered when they met and hugged, then both ladies turned and bowed, giggling among themselves over it all. "I think we're done for the night, folks. Time to catch up with family and friends. Enjoy the house beats."

The ladies jumped down to dance floor level, with Marduk playing the Trinity version of Take U There, both women staying on the dance floor and showing off thier dance swagger together. Then, once that one ended Marduk began to play GET LOW by Dillon Francis and DJ Snake, which the girls could not help but twerk and durty dance to. They owned the dance floor, using each other to bounce off of when dancing, other females joining in and adding to the crowd. Trinity dragged Zyna off the dancefloor before TURN IT DOWN FOR WHAT started, knowing they would both get caught up in it.

Zyna grabbed Trinity's arm, causing her to swing back around, and she caught her and kissed her. Not one to hesitate, Trinity kissed her back deeply, those around them cheering the act. When they broke they smiled at each other, a bit shy, then held hands as they disappeared into the crowd.
