Another show/fitting in

Posted on Sun Jul 2nd, 2017 @ 7:56am by Lieutenant Marduk "Duke" & Trinity Costa

Mission: STATION BLUES
Location: Club Bliss
Timeline: current

ON:

Trinity, coming from home after a two day respite from the club, entered and saw Zyna behind the bar. The Bajoran was a worker, an earner, always doing far more than expected. "Zyna, my office, please," says Trinity in passing.

Zyna, finishing what she was doing, made her way to the back and to Trin's office, standing in the doorway. "What's up?"

"Come in and close the door."

Zyna stepped inside, slapping the hatch release.

"Marduk is one of us," explained Trinity. "We had a long discussion a couple of days ago, with him starting to figure things out. So, he was brought into the fold at his own request. We'll watch him for a while, make sure he's Cabal material, but he gets treated like everyone else."

"No problem, Boss." Zyna gave a grin and wagged her eyebrows. "He's sexy as hell and I love his tats. Whoa! Good choice, Trin."

Trinity smiled and came around her desk, wrapping her arms around Zyna's waist and giving her a short, meaningful kiss. "Glad I'm not the only one he does that too. He's half Klingon, so he has both stamina and strength. Always a good combo in a male." She smiled provocatively and winked.

Zyna's own hands snaked around Trin's waist, then began to descend and play with the backside, a little rub and squeeze. "We'll have to test him...in every way." She giggled.

Trinity gave a naughty giggle. "My thoughts exactly. Anyway, with that in mind you are now my manager, Bliss being your domain. Duke and I have been working on a set with the Saints of Bliss, a show for tonight, so get things ready."

Her eyes going wide with surprise, Zyna hugged Trinity. "Thanks, doll. I've earned this, and will prove myself. I need to get shit done for tonight. See ya later." She kissed Trinity and then hurried from the office.

Watching that little Bajoran tush was always a pleasure. Trinity always hated to see Zyna go, but loved to watch her leave. Having sent word to the band to come set up for the show, before too big a crowd showed, she then went to dress for the show herself.

***

Hours later, all cleaned up and feeling better about herself, Trinity checked herself in the mirror. Her hair was two braided pigtails out the back, with her bangs hanging down to just above her eyebrows. The top was a black leather vest, thin material, over the top of an Olympic volleyball top, also black. She wore the matching volleyball shorts beneath a tartan skirt that was blood red in color with black and white plaid lines. Her feet were covered in black, knee-high Goth jump boots, her make-up Goth as well, but not too much. (Think Pauley Perrette of NCIS, AKA Abby Sciuto). Since she would be singing and jamming guitar she figured that flashing skin, bum, and midriff would add to the allure while she sweated under the stage lights.

Marduk came into Bliss, wearing a black T-shirt with cut off sleeves, black leather pants and boots, and his infamous backwards GODSMACK ballcap. When he was off duty it was his usual look, and being a part of Bliss now, whether veiled or not, it made sense that he would be as casual as possible when not on the clock. "Hey, Zyna. Jameson on the rocks."

Zyna looked up from her drinks, pouring this and that into glasses and then setting them up for the servers. Grabbing a bottle of Jameson's she filled a glass with ice then poured the libation, handing it over when finished, waving off any cost. "How you doin', Marduk?"

"Good, thanks." Duke leaned sideways against the bar, seeing the roadies setting up and tuning the instruments. This was going to be one fun night, for damn sure. He had decided to cut loose tonight, pour his soul into having a good time, everything else be damned. The sign out front announced the show: TONIGHT, SAINTS OF BLISS W/TRINITY & MARDUK "DUKE". BRING YOUR GOTH!

As he stood there looking around Duke did notice that quite a few faces he knew, Starfleet personnel, were now in civvies, dressed up in Goth attire for the show. This was going to be a blast, he thought.

Trinity came out from the back, behind Duke at this angle, and looked to Zyna, waiting for her to turn around. The Bajoran finished what she was doing and spun to put a bottle away and stopped in her tracks.

It took Zyna a moment to realize it was Trinity, never having seen her in any other mode of dress except for what she wore every day. Setting the bottle down she gave a wolf whistle and did a slinky little move up to her lover. "Rawr," she growled out seductively. "This is HOT, girlfriend."

Duke, hearing the whistle, turned around to see what it was about. He stood there agape a moment, this new Trinity look really appealing. "Damn, toots. You look extra yummy like that. Slainte'."

Trinity thanked them both, smiling broadly. "Something a little different for the crowd. It's Goth night, so I can't disappoint." Going to the back shelf of the bar, grabbing something on the back of the counter, Trinity kept her legs straight and bent at the waist. The skirt rode up, exposing her buttocks in the skimpy volleyball shorts as she got what she wanted and then stood straight again. She looked over her shoulder with a grin and wink. "Does it work?"

"Like a friggin charm," said Duke, smiling and wagging his browse. "Both you tarts are eye candy, no denying that." Before they could respond to him, Duke walked away, heading for the stage.

"Oh, I like him," said Zyna.

"Me too," Trinity agreeing. Alright, the show starts in an hour, we'll be in the band room. Your club, so make it work." Trinity walked by and patted her tush, then went into the back again.

***

The time had come, the band all in the back room laughing, joking, drinking and smoking up. With his brak'lul Duke felt no affects from the booze, but the smoke did have him feeling a bit...happy. He was ready to rock this place something fierce. Zyna called back saying the house was PACKED, Goth patrons everywhere, some even in Cosplay as vampires and what not, so they needed to get their butts out on stage before they had a riot on their hands. She giggled, of course, but it was time to perform.

Trinity had her black widow guitar strapped on, a black enamel base with a web pattern and a red hourglass, handing Duke a solid black guitar with silver edging. "When I sing, you play, like we discussed. Ice will back us on his, keeping rhythm or doing lead so we can sing and rhythm. Come together."

The band stepped in and gathered in a circle, arms going up around shoulders as they leaned into a huddle, Duke joining them. Trinity looked around and then bowed her head and closed her eyes, the band and Duke doing the same. "Gods, God, Five Elements, please watch after us and keep us safe. Provide safety and joy to those we love and keep our patrons safe. Blessed Be." They all said Blessed Be, then broke and headed out on stage to a roaring, cheering crowd.

They all got in position. Duke in the middle, Trin left mic and Ice right mic. Keyboards and drums all set and the bass was a wanderer. Duke stepped to the mic. "How y'all doin' tonight?"

He got cheers and various answers in the positive. He gave a laugh. "Okay. Sounds like we need some tunes, right?"

RIGHT!

Trinity spoke into her mic. "This first one is a Duke," she pointed to him. "Request."

Duke smiled and slid his guitar around to his back, wanting to belt this out without distraction, his new perception of things coming through in the music choice. Trinity began the opening guitar strums and it went from there.

"Wash It All Away"

{OA: FFDP}

I've given up
On society
Up on my family
Up on your social disease

I've given up
On the industry
Up on democracy
Done with all your hypocrisy

All of the chaos
And all of the lies
I hate it

I'm wasting here
Can anyone wash it all away
I'm waiting here
For anyone to wash it all away
Wash it all away

I've given up
On the media
Feeds my hysteria
Sick of living down on my knees
I've given up
On morality
Feeds my brutality
Fuck what you think about me

All of the chaos
And all of the lies
I hate it

I'm wasting here
Can anyone wash it all away
I'm waiting here
For anyone to wash it all away
Wash it all away

I won't change for you
And I can't take the pain
There's nothing you can do
And there's nothing you can say

[Trinity solo, standing on stage edge and letting hands rub on her legs while she played]

I've given up
On everything
Up on everything
Up on everything

I'm wasting here
Can anyone wash it all away
I'm waiting here
For anyone to wash it all away
Wash it all away

I'm wasting here
With everyone just wash it all away
I'm waiting here
For anyone to wash it all away
Wash it all away
Wash it all away

***

The crowd went ballistic, and it was cool to see the painted faces, the Goth clothing, and everyone having a great time. Duke stepped to the mic. "Alright, that was me. Now, you get Trinity!" More cheering as she slung her guitar on her back and Duke took over as lead, switching mic spots.

"Freak Like Me"

{OA: Halestorm}

I’m on the train that’s pullin the sick and twisted,
Makin the most of the ride before we get arrested,
We’re all wasted,
And we’re not going home tonight.

Covered in black we lack the social graces,
Just like an animal we crawl out of our cages,
They can’t tame us,
So if you’re one of us, get on the bus

If you’re a freak like me,
Wave your flag!
If you’re a freak like me,
Get off your ass!
It’s our time now,
To let it all hang out

So shout if you’re a freak like me,
You were born to burn,
This is no disease you don’t need a cure!
It’s our time now to come out!
If you’re a freak like me!
If you’re a freak like me!

We’re underground but we will not surrender,
We’re gonna give them something to remember, yeah,
So write your name in gasoline,
And set that shit on fire

If you’re a freak like me,
Wave your flag!
If you’re a freak like me,
Get off your ass!
It’s our time now,
To let it all hang out

So shout if you’re a freak like me,
Don’t apologize,
They can’t hold you down,
You were born to rise!
It’s our time now to come out!

If you’re a freak like me
If you’re a freak like me
Are you a freak like me?
Are you a freak, like, me?!

If you’re a freak like me,
Wave your flag!
If you’re a freak like me,
Get off your ass!
It’s our time now,
To let it all hang out

So shout if you’re a freak like me,
Don’t apologize,
They can’t hold you down,
You were born to rise!
It’s our time now to come out!
If you’re a freak like me!
If you’re a freak like me!
If you’re a freak like me!
If you’re a freak like me!
If you’re a freak like me!

As the crowd cheered at the end of the song, all three front musicians gathered on stage in a circle. "This is kick ass!" Said Ice.

Trinity and Duke high-fived Ice. "It's working. Duke is in the know, Ice, treat him well." Trinity, after saying that walked away, letting the boys nod to each other. She went back to her stage left mic. "I wanna make this bitch screech," she said, waggling her guitar. "Duke, it's your show, brother, so drop that guitar and get in it!"

MOre cheers came as Duke did just that, setting the guitar to the side and peeling his shirt off and exposing that chiseled frame and tats. Sweat glistened off his skin, making him that much more appealing under the lights. "Let's rock this motherf****r!"

"Sulfur"

{OA: Slipknot}

My Guilt and My Shame always sell me short - always feel the same
And My Face and My Soul always wear me thin - always under control
But the longest hours you'll have in your life
Are the ones you sit through to know if you're right
So I'll wait, but I pray that I'm wrong
Because I think I know what's going on

So Let Me Get This Straight... the only will is my own
I do whatever I want and stay alone
All my decisions make it untouchable and tainted
I'm gonna suffer for the rest of my life
But I will always find a way to survive
I'm not a failure, but I know what it's like
I can take it or leave it... or die

STAY - You don't always know where you stand
'Til you know that you won't run away
There's something inside me that feels
Like Breathing in Sulfur...

My Life is undone - and I'm a sinner to most but a sage to some
And my Gods are Untrue - I'm probably wrong, but I'm better than you
And the longest hours I've had in my life
Were the ones I went through to know I was right
So I'm safe, but I'm a little outside
I'm gonna laugh when I'm buried alive

STAY - You don't always know where you stand
'Til you know that you won't run away
There's something inside me that feels
Like Breathing in Sulfur...

LIKE BREATHING IN SULFUR

[Trinity solo]

STAY - You don't always know where you stand
'Til you know that you won't run away
There's something inside me that feels
Like Breathing in Sulfur...

LIKE BREATHING IN SULFUR

They went stright into the next double song combo. "These are both for Trin." Said Duke.

***

"Gone Sovereign"

{OA: Stone Sour} [both songs]

No one's laughing now, no one's laughing now
I'm sullen and sated and you can't put a price on me
I won't share this disarray, I won't pull these hands away
I need to be chosen and my God don't pray for me

So scatter all my ashes when I'm dead
And shatter every legend in my head
If only the committed will survive
Is anybody here still left alive?

This is mine!!!

Come no further, you go too far
I'm running 'round in circles once again
If you can't forgive me, I won't take it very hard
But I won't make it easy in the end

So scatter all my ashes when I'm dead
And shatter every legend in my head
If only the contented will survive
Is anybody here still left alive?

This is mine!!!
This is mine!!!
Yeah!

[Trinity/Ice solo]

So scatter all my ashes when I'm dead
And shatter every legend in my head
If only the committed will survive
Is anybody here still left alive?

This is mine!!!
Mine!
Mine!
Mine!

"Absolute Zero"

The bloody angle, the symmetry
Your cheap adhesive isn't holding me
My mouth is a gun I can shoot, I can show you the truth
And I don't need a reason to lie to you

No pun intended, no punishment
If I offended you, you needed it
Ideas are the bombs in your mind, a fissure in time
If you don't have a weapon you can't have mine

I can bleed if I want to bleed
I can feel if I feel the need
This face is my last confession
This life, it feels like a prison

Oh ho, I'm not afraid
I'm giving into grievances again
You're looking at an absolute zero
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

The catatonic, the sacrilege
Your primadonnas are a privilege
My God has a need to react, it's as simple as that
It's better just to settle and face the facts

I can bleed if I want to bleed
I can feel if I feel the need
This face is my last confession
This life, it feels like a prison

Oh ho, I'm not afraid
I'm giving into grievances again
You're looking at an absolute zero
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

[Trinity solo]

One thing that I can't stand
Is when the minutes fight the second hand
I'll waste a lifetime's worth
Just to play to one more day

No fucking quota, no premiums
The world is stuck in delirium
Man is a four-letter word, it's really absurd
The hate isn't fake, it's just inferred

Oh ho, I'm not afraid
I'm giving into grievances again
I'm down to absolute zero
Another zealot with the weight of the fucking world

Oh, I'm not afraid
And I will let you down as I hold you in
You're looking at an absolute zero
I'm not the devil but I won't be your hero

***

As the last note sounded the crowd went bonkers. The booze was setting in and they were all worked up. Nothing could ruin their night aside from a straight up red alert. "Okay, okay! We sang some fast-paced songs, and now we're gonna slow it down a tad. Rock on and then, well, a song dedicated to drinking!" The crowd cheered and alughed, ordering more drinks so they would arrive at tables before the second song started.

***

"Tired"

{OA: Stone Sour}

I'm alive in here
So alive in here
Pulling down a little peace

I'm open wide in here
Slow to rise in here
Saving grace and killing me

You say this only makes me incomplete
I'm canceled out and rendered obsolete
Tell the mad chameleon he's not welcome anymore
I know what I'm looking for

Somewhere close
Somewhere safe
Somewhere I know
I know I'll never live in chains

The one is now aware
So stay away from me
I'm just too young to care

I can see in here
And I can feel in here
Comatose with common sense
I take my time in here
Somebody get me out of here
What am I so against?

I just want to watch the whole world burn
Lost a million times and I won't learn
Show me someone innocent, I'll show you there's no proof
I may be gone but I'm no fool

I'm not close
I'm not safe
I don't know
Don't know
Am I better off in chains?

The one is not aware
So stay away from me
I'm just too young to care

[Trinity solo]

I need
Somewhere close
Somewhere safe
Somewhere I know
I know I'll never live in chains

The one is now aware
So stay away from me
I'm just too young to care

Too young to care

Duke waved the crowd to settle the noise. "Alright, booze tunes." On cue a server brought the band some drinks. with Duke taking up a whiskey on the rocks slamming half of it down as the next song started. Trinity had switched her guitar to acoustic, Ice doing the electric lead on this one.

***

"Alcohaulin' Ass"

{OA: Hellyeah}

A little bit of sunshine
A little bit of booze
A little bit of me
And a little bit of you
A little bit country
A little bit of blues
A slice of heaven
And a little piece of you...come on

Alcohaulin' ass
Pour another drink in my glass
Alcohaulin' ass
Alcohaul...in' ass

A little bit thirsty
A little bit used
A little bit of whiskey
And a little pinch of chew
A little bit tired
And a bad attitude
A little bit of drinkin
And another piece of you

Alcohaulin' ass
Pour another drink in my glass [raises glass]
Alcohaulin' ass
Alcohaulin'
Alcohaulin'

[Ice solo] [Duke downs drink and tosses glass aside]

You drove me to it
So there was nothing i could do
You pushed me down
Split me right in two
Now i found the long hard road
Carried the weight of you
Boy oh boy god damn
Only one thing left to do

A little bit of

Alcohaulin' ass
Pour another drink in my glass
Alcohaulin' ass
Pour another drink in my glass
Alcohaul...in' ass

***

When the song finished the crowd gave their cheers, the band drenched in sweat with all the hot stage lights and hot bodies within the club. Trinity switched her guitar back to electric, taking over lead again. The next song started with a heavy beat, and Duke was now in his element, singing songs by the man he looked so much like.

"Crying Like A Bitch"

{OA: Godsmack}

Strut on by like a king
Telling everybody they know nothing
And long live what you thought you were
And time ain't on your side anymore (anymore)

And so you tell me I
Can't take my chances
But I told you one too many times
And you were crying like a bitch

I'm tougher than nails
I can promise you that
Step out of line
And you get bitch-slapped back
And you can run
Your little mouth all day
But the hand of god
Just smacked you back into yesterday

And so you tell me I
Can't take my chances
But I told you one too many times
And you were crying like a bitch

And you wonder why
No one can stand you
And there's no denying
You were crying like a bitch
You were crying like a bitch

Blinded by your sacred faded past times
Only time is your enemy
Granted a second chance
To prove that your arrogance
Is stronger than you'll ever be
Is stronger than you can be

Oh stronger than you can be
Oh stronger than you can (be)

And so you tell me I
Can't take my chances
But I told you one too many times
And you were crying like a bitch

And you wonder why
No one can stand you
And there's no denying
You were crying like a bitch

You were crying like a bitch
You were crying like a bitch
You were crying like a bitch

Oh Bitch

***

Abrupt ending to the song which caused a roar from the crowd. Nodding to each other Trinity went and put her guitar in its stand, then took off her vest and tossed it into the crowd, taking up her mic from the stand and heading for the bar, to dance and be spotlighted for that part of the room while the band was over here. Showmanship. "You guys ready for some bitch booms?" The crowd cheered and shouted yes, Zyna setting up a cordoned section for a mosh pit. "Good, 'cause that's what you're gonna get! Ice, Duke, Saints, let me be heard!"

A spotlight follwed Trinity around while she walked back and forth on the bar, gesticulating and playing to the crowd, the upward angle of the patrons at the bar providing quite the fleshy view of her upskirt, skimpy shorts or not.

"I Get Off"

{OA: Halestorm}

You don't know that I know
You watch me every night
And I just can't resist the urge
To stand here in the light
Your greedy eyes upon me
And then I come undone
I could close the curtain
But this is too much fun

[CHORUS:]
I get off on you
Getting off on me
Give you what you want
But nothing is for free
It's a give and take
Kind of love we make
When the line is crossed
I get off
I get off

There's so much left unspoken
Between the two of us
It's so much more exciting
To look when you can't touch
You could say I'm different
Maybe I'm a freak
But I know how to twist you
To bring you to your knees

[CHORUS]

What you don't know
What you can't see
Is what I do for you
I do for me

[CHORUS]

***

"It ain't over yet, ladies. Gothginas rule tonight!" The women around the room howled and hooted. "Back me up on the chorus, sisters!"

"Daughters Of Darkness"

{OA: Halestorm}

Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na

We came to battle baby
We came to win the war
We won’t surrender
Till we get what we're lookin for
We're blowing out our speakers
There goes the neighbourhood
A little scissor happy
Little misunderstood

We can turn you on
Or we will turn on you

Daughters of darkness
Sisters insane
A little evil
Goes a long, long way
We stand together
No we're not afraid
We'll live forever
Daughters of darkness
Daughters of darkness

Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na
Daughters of darkness
Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na

We're all survivors somehow
We just broke out the pack
And I don't need no dogtag
My name is on my back

We can turn you on
Or we can turn on you

Daughters of darkness
Sisters insane
A little evil
Goes a long, long way
We stand together
No we're not afraid
We'll live forever
Daughters of darkness
Daughters of darkness

Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na
Daughters of darkness
Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na

Never down
Never out
Playing hard
Living loud
Keeping up
With the boys
Making out
Making noise

And you better get me home
Before the sun comes up...up...up

Daughters of darkness
Sisters insane
A little evil goes a long, long way
We stand together
No we're not afraid
We'll live forever
Daughters of darkness
Daughters of darkness
Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na
Daughters of darkness
Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na
We’re the daughters of darkness
Na-na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na-na

Trinity gave a bow as the last note sounded, then blew kisses to the crowd. "You guys so rock. I love you all. Thank you for being here, some of you every night, it lets us know at Club Bliss that we make you comfy." She waved for Zyna to come up on the bar/stage, and once up there she handed her another mic. "This next one is for all of us who dream of a brighter future." Zyna knew this song, they had practiced it together for such times as this, and Trinity loved the song for its content.

"Time For Change"

{OA: Motley Crue}

I heard some kids telling me
How they've lost all the faith, in the way
They've been talking world peace, now
And the war's in the streets

The lines on their faces so deep, yeah
A revolution, or reach out
And touch the day
We're overdue, child

[ladies in duet]
Change
Now it's time for change
Nothing stays the same
Now it's time for change x2

I feel the the future
In the hands of our youth, will be safe
No more lies
Old, tired fools tell our future
With tarot cards, and lie of crime,
The lines on their faces so deep, yeah
A revolution, or reach out
And touch the day
We're overdue, child

[duet]
Change
Now it's time for change
Nothing stays the same
Now it's time for change x2

[Ice solo][Zyna and Trin walking along and shaking/slapping hands and nodding to the crowd]

I'll change
I'll change
Not tomorrow, but today

Change
Now it's time for change
Nothing stays the same
Now it's time for change [repeat til end/some adlib, both ladies singing together with arms around each other's waists, swaying as they sang]

***

The song faded and this time there was far more applause than screaming cheers, people loving the song for its content.

"Thank you so much, but we need a break. Juke until we get back." Trinity and Zyna hopped down behind the bar, the bartenders busy as hell as the band broke. Taking Zyna's hand Trin led her through the back and around to her secret door to her niche, the beehive shaped area of refuge. The forcefield was down, but patrons knew it was the band area when they were drinking, so they kept their distance until waved in for autographs, pics, whatever. And, the whole band came in, drinks already waiting.

Duke was smiling broadly as he took up a beer. "This-is-awesome!" He cracked the beverage, drank it down and smashed the can, then got another. Everyone else laughed.

Ice, sipping his vodka as usual, looked at Duke. "It's all part of the deal, man. Play tunes, get drunk, get laid, go to sleep. Wake up the next day, repeat." More laughter.

Trinity, while others were laughing, gave Ice 'the look', her eyes darting to Duke, then she went back to normal and snuggled Zyna to play coy.

Ice received the message. Duke seemed cool but they needed to make sure he was legit, not some fraud looking to bust them all as a rat. In his opinion a rat was the lowest form of life, and deserved to be killed without hesitation. Disloyalty, in The Cabal, was not acceptable on any level. Trinity was the Boss, the big kahuna, and Ice would gut anyone like a fish who tried to hurt her. If he made the grade Duke would receive his Saints of Bliss cut, and once he donned it for the first time he was locked in, forever.

Seeing a bunch of fans waiting to meet the band and hang out, Trinity waved them in, in small groups, and let them get their goodies. It was who she was, handing them shirts, lockets, bracelets and other Saints gear. They spent a good half an hour seeing to the fans and patrons, then back on stage they went. Trinity took up her guitar, this next set full of meaning.

Duke set up at the mic, this next set all Trinity choices, and songs he knew well. Saints songs, from the heart and life experiences.

Trinity undid her hair, shaking and finger combing it out so it was a raven mane around her head, strands of it sticking to her sweaty skin as she ripped it up on the guitar.

"Demise Of Sanity"

{OA: Black label society}

It's gonna break you, son, it's gonna rot you through
Forget the past and all you ever knew
You've never known such fear, you've never shed such tears
It'll have you wishin' you were never here

Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down, forever on the wrong side
Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down

All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity
All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity

Straight through the depths of hell, ain't got no soul to sell
Death on death, the eternal funeral bell
You've never known such fear, you've never shed such tears
It'll have you wishin' you were never here

Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down, forever on the wrong side
Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down

All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity
All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity

[Trinity solo/riff]

Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down, forever on the wrong side
Where have I gone, blacked out on my death ride
Twisted and broken down

All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity
All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity

All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity
All that has been, all that's to be
No tomorrow, the demise of sanity

As Trin hit that final screech on the guitar the song ended abruptly, people screaming and shouting for more. So, being who she was, Trinity hopped down from the stage and went to a buddy bar in the middle of the room, motioning to some cornfed boys there that she needed on top of it. They picked her up gracefully, her not missing the hands on her arse, as they deposited her on the table top. Now, she could rip up the guitar in the middle of the crowd while the band did their thing behind her. The spotlight, blood red, came down on her and lit her up in its soft, crimson light.

Zyna watched from behind the bar, seeing her mentor, lover, and boss doing her thing. She had never in her life met someone like Trinity, but she figured it was the 400 years that Trin had lived that made her who she was. That meant she had seen it all, knew the tricks of the trade in life, and how to offset any negativity. The next song started, Trinity sliding right into playing without a second thought, as if the world did not exist and it was just her guitar for company.

"The Blessed Hellride"

{OA: Black label society}

Break me down and roll me once again
Got no time to think of now and then
Catch my breath pick myself up off the floor
One more drink, a nervous breakdown, then another war
Oh, you can never get too low,
When youre so damn high
Oh, been out rolling
On the blessed hellride

Through the lines, aint no in betweens
Gardens of filth, the obscure and the obscene
Catch my breath, pick myself up off the floor
One more drink, a nervous breakdown, then another war

Oh, you can never get too low when you're so damn high
Oh, been out rolling, on the blessed hellride
You can never get too low when youre so damn high,
On the blessed hellride

Oh, you can never get too low when you're so damn high
Oh, been out rolling, on the blessed hellride
You can never get too low when youre so damn high,
On the blessed hellride

Trinity stepped to her mic. "For those of you who don't know, I am El-Aurian. I've lived for over four centuries and in that time have met some of the greatest people. Soldiers, scholars, politicians, both good and bad. Lovers, too. They gave me beautiful children, some of whom have passed on, some who are out there somewhere living their lives. So, this next song is for them, the lovers who moved on and left me to raise my children. For the confidantes who had my back during trying times. And, for you now, those who come to Bliss to be free...to not be judged." She tapped a few keys on a PADD, bringing up a holographic piano. She took her guitar off and sat down on the bench. Duke waited until she was set, his singing and her piano playing to make this beautiful song work.

"Scars" [piano version]

{OA: Black label society]

Say your peace, for I'll be on my way
One last look, nothing left to say
As I turn my back, to walk away
I shall forgive, but I won't forget that day

For every sky that shines
Shall meet the pouring rain
For my will shall never break though it may bend
Like the scars that heal yet never mend

When lies become the truth
Well, you've got your beliefs
No burdens on your mind
They're buried beneath your feet

As I turn my back, to walk away
I shall forgive, but I won't forget that day

For every sky that shines
Shall meet the pouring rain
For my will shall never break though it may bend
Like the scars that heal yet never mend

As I turn my back, to walk away
I shall forgive, but I won't forget that day

For every sky that shines
Shall meet the pouring rain
For my will shall never break though it may bend
Like the scars that heal yet never mend

For every sky that shines
Shall meet the pouring rain
For my will shall never break though it may bend
Like the scars that heal yet never mend

Trinity stood to applause, bowing to the crowd as she shut down the piano and took up the guitar. The show went on for a while longer, with the band coming together at the end of the night to hang out and be together.

Duke was amazed at the camaraderie between them all, still the outsider. The others would sit close, in a circle among the furnishings, laughing, joking and talking. Seeing him alone Zyna patted the spot next to her on the couch, to invite him in, putting her between him and Trinity. Not by design but just by happenstance. She handed him a beer, a joint, and then sipped and puffed with him. No one said a word about it, and as time went on he was included in the conversation and brevity.
